Sayalay Dipankara from Myanmar will be giving a session of Dhamma Talk here in Kuching Buddhist Society main Shrine Hall on this coming 17 July at 7:00pm till 8:30pm. The talk will be conducted in English with Mandarin translation.
Sayalay Dipankara was born in Myanmar on the Wesak day of 1964, she had utmost reverence and respect for monks since her childhood. At the age of 25, she was ordained under Pa Auk Sayadaw.
Starting from 1995, Sayalay travelled extensively to various countries in Europe, US as well as Asia to spread the teachings of Buddha. At the same time she set up a permanent centre in Maymyo, Myanmar named Brahma Vihari Meditation Centre to provide long-term meditation retreats for sincere practitioners.
Sayalay Dipankara teaches the forty Kammatthana leading to Samadhi and Vipassana practice as well as various qualities that a Buddhist needs to cultivate.
